Leadership, Policy and Administration 736:
The Education of Young Children
Theories, Practices and Policies

  • Sample Student Evaluations

Margaret stands out as an admirable professional. She has a rich and varied background in the field at many levels. She is approachable, shows great humor, has a sharp intellect and is incredibly articulate. I think Margaret has put a tremendous amount of thought and effort to create a rich learning experience for graduate students.

The project we completed challenged my own leadership skills and helped me to develop these skills at a new level.

The content of the course extended my thinking by requiring me to apply creative and critical reasoning skills. I had to articulate how research as well as practices help early care professionals access and improve programs for young children.

Interpersonal Skills of Leadership

  • Sample Student Evaluations

Margaret's ability to individualize and build on students' strengths was remarkable! She energized the group with her ability to push "so far," allowing for growth on an individual basis. I feel blessed to have had her as a model leader in these leadership courses.

I learned so much from both of the classes with Margaret. She really honors people's diverse learning styles and continually seeks feedback. The texts and assessments were very challenging.

Margaret had been an inspiration to me. I plan to take what I have learned and apply it to my leadership advocacy for the early care and education field.
